The aim of the proposal is to create a significant area both professional and recreational sport. The main part of the work is devoted to the design of o new cycling stadium owned but TJ Favoritisms Brno. The hall should have sufficient capacity and facilities to hold international sporting events in cycling. At the same time it should be useful for smaller races and other events. Another requirement is that the stadium can provide enough facilities for the TJ Favorit Brno cycling club. The home base is currently a cycling stadium at the Brno Exhibition Grounds. This stadium is currently inadequate, serving only as a training course. It does not meet conditions of the international Federation od UCI. The design of the variable space of the hall deserves a further attention at least, because it will serve athletics of other sporting events. The cycling stadium is located in the northern part of the grounds. It place emphasis on the scattered surfaces in the immediate vicinity of the stadium, easy orientation and layout of entries from all sides of the object, separation of athletes from spectators. The main expressive element is two masses, one of which allows the public to climb the ramp along the perimeter of the stadium to lookout points. From the ramp you can see the action inside the stadium. The attractiveness of the entire area is enhanced by the proposed traffic playground and bombrack. Nováková, Pavla ; Vostrejž, Dušan (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor)
The diploma thesis is based on a design of a sports recreational centre in Brno za Lužánkami. The area has a very rich sports history (former football stadium, ice arena, swimming pool,…), with great importance for the city of Brno and its residents. Due to the decay and bad technical condition of the structures, sports activity Za Lužánkami was suppressed at the end of the last century, and its return to the location is very current. The goal of the thesis was a design for the utilization of the area for various uses with a preference for leisure sports activities and offering options for all age groups during the entire year. In the first stage, an urban-architectural study was compiled, including a new functional use of the area for recreational sporting and relaxation, while being better connected with the surrounding localities. Following that, a complex architectural study of a multipurpose hall was designed in place of the former football stadium. The hall offers various possibilities for recreational sports, children‘s club training, talks and exhibitions hosting. Included are corresponding sanitary facilities, technical facilities, underground parking, commercial areas and a cafe. The structure is set in the ground and thanks to the variable roof inclination the rooftop park is directly accessible from the ground. The roof access is proposed from four places and offers further relaxation spots around the entire roof area.

Sport Centre Za Lužánkami Brno
Kociánová, Lenka ; Vostrejž, Dušan (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor)
Prior to this thesis, there was a specialist course “Sport centre Za Lužánkami Brno”. This project was focused on planning of urbanism-architectural area with a mixture of renovated and new facilities with different functions for sport and leisure, together with professional sport opportunities. The emphasis was on collision-free paths for pedestrians and cyclists, clear transport links around the centre and terrain configuration of the area. The thesis follows on from this project, focusing on development between the hotel Bobycentrum in the South and the Lužánky swimming pool in the North. The idea of the proposal stems from the need to connect the development area to the existing network of pedestrian and cycle paths and the public transport system to minimise the use for individual car travel to the sport centre; and to connect existing and new facilities for leisure and sports. The Sport relax centre was designed with existing buildings in mind and partially follows their ground floor dimensions. The centre creates a barrier from the noisy and busy street and provides a calmer area for outdoor recreation. It fills a gap between the existing buildings and is encircled by a footpath at second level joining to the footbridges over Sportovní Street and the existing terrain in the north-western part. The footpath is ended by passageway between swimming pool and wellness centre. More and more people are looking for sport opportunities in cities however; there are still not enough quality grounds and facilities on offer. The facilities in this development are meant for regular trainings and recreation for the public, including parents with children, groups of friends as well as individual and team sports players, offering a range of day, evening and night activities both indoors and outdoors. Other facilities include outdoor changing rooms and sports equipment rental as well as spaces for meeting friends such as a restaurant, wellness and a dancing-hall.

Vybíralová, Martina ; Vostrejž, Dušan (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor)
The subject of the diploma thesis is an architectural study of the new building of the Sports and Recreation Center in Brno. This locality is Brno - Královo Pole. The area consists of sloping terrain, the elevation of which is almost 36 meters. As the area is located close to the Lužánky Park, but especially the center, its location is associated with a large number of advantages. An example is the large number of different functions, such as trade, housing, education or transport. However, the territory also has disadvantages. One of them is, for example, a number of unsuitable objects or inappropriately selected functions. From the point of view of history, sport is connected with the solved area. Therefore, the basic idea of the proposal was to preserve the Genia Loci of this area. The main goal was to design a complex with various functions for recreational sports and leisure of individuals, interest groups but also families with children. This is achieved by dividing the area into two parts, one of which is quiet and the other is dedicated to the sports just mentioned. The quiet part seamlessly connects to the Lužánky park and has the character of a park. There are activities in the area such as tennis, volleyball, climbing center and BMX track. The main building of the complex is a multifunctional sports hall, which is designed on the site of the original football stadium. The very mass of the object on a quadrangular floor plan, which is sloping and rotated. The building is covered with two countertop green roofs, one of which connects to the park and serves as a residential. People can spend their free time here with an interesting view of the adjacent park. For easier orientation in the area and highlighting the entrance portals, the front and rear parts of the hall are lined with a massive mass, which is lined with Corten cladding. Thanks to its shape, the building has a completely different effect on visitors and passers-by.
Sports and Relaxation Centre Vsetín, Ohrada
Kuklínková, Klára ; Kotek, arch Jakub (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor)
Diploma thesis of was preceded by a specialized studio focused on the development of urban-architectural design in the area of "Vsetín - Ohrada". The newly created objects have the a task of transform the whole territory, which nowadays deteriorate. The solved area is separated by the highest industrial zone from the edge of the city and after the connection to the urban area. The whole sports complex is conceived as an independent urban complex, mainly linked to the surrounding nature. These are cycle paths that are designed for the entire area. The center is designed for the needs of the population of Vsetín and its catchment areas. Sports, recreational options for all ages. The grassy wall divides the river from the city and reflects the calm zone by the river, and at the same time divides large flat areas. In addition to sports, the area offers wellness, gastro and meeting places. The advantage of this place is cycling trail parallel to the beautiful nature. Moreover, the grassy wall is used to hide service roads and parking spaces. This ensures excellent transport accessibility and supply, but does not interfere with the sports complex. Wall created from excavations of single buildings and demolition works of the original stadium will achieve a safe transition from one sports ground to another, creating a natural observation post and incorporating buildings and sports facilities to become part of the wall and form a single unit. By embedding buildings in the wall, the buildings visually diminish. The embedded sports ground is bounded on two sides by a rampart and the third by a staircase. It can be used as a grandstand, or to enter the ridge of the dike. This minimizes the need for unsightly fencing on each pitch. With the new concept we will meet the requirements of visitors in the given locality and, above all, the attractiveness of the whole area will be increased.
